Bulbophyllum guamense

Form: Epiphyte; pseudobulbs "pear-shaped": 2.5 cm long; 1-leaved. occurs in large mat-like formations on tree trunks and branches from 0.5m to 8m high. 

Stem: present when in flower. bracts fall off occasionally, 12mm long (longer than petioles).

Leaves: oblong, elliptic, 10-15 cm long, 2.6-3.8 cm wide

Flower: greenish yellowish-cream, c. 1.5 cm long, c. 5mm broad at base. inflorescence begins at the base of the pseudobulb and is longer than the leaves. the scent of the flower are faint, unpleasant, carrion-like scent.

Habitat: most common in humid, moist areas on tree trunks and branches.
